sovanta expands its Board with the new responsibilities “AI & Data” and “Customer Engagement“
With the introduction of the new board-level responsibilities “AI & Data” and “Customer Engagement”, sovanta AG is setting clear priorities for growth. AI & Data will be further expanded as a core future capability, while Customer Engagement addresses the increasing demands of modern customer relationships — particularly in the context of internationalization, new products, and an expanded portfolio. Both responsibilities are assumed by long-standing sovanta team members: Dr. Tommi Kramer will take over AI & Data, while Akin Aritmac will be responsible for Customer Engagement.
AI & Data: A Key Growth Driver for Scalability and New Offerings
With the introduction of the new AI & Data board-level responsibility, sovanta strengthens an area that has been deliberately developed over many years and is now firmly embedded across the organization. Artificial Intelligence (AI) and data are not peripheral topics at sovanta — they shape the way projects are delivered, products are built, and internal processes are designed.
Driven by global developments in recent years, AI & Data has become even more critical as a catalyst for innovation and new business models. For sovanta, this makes the topic a central pillar of its growth strategy.
By anchoring AI & Data at board level, the Heidelberg-based SAP partner is setting a clear priority and creating additional focus to further accelerate its expansion — translating innovation more consistently into new offerings and measurable value for customers.

“AI & Data” board-level responsibility will be assumed by Dr. Tommi Kramer:
Dr. Tommi Kramer studied Business Informatics at the University of Mannheim and earned his doctorate (Dr. rer. pol.) in 2016. He subsequently took on a managing role at the Institute for Enterprise Systems, where he was responsible for, among other things, industry partnerships and the program management of R&D projects with companies from the DAX and MDAX environments. In 2017, he joined sovanta AG, where he has consistently built and strategically developed the AI & Data area. Since 2021, he has been part of the management team, overseeing AI & Data as a core component of the company’s strategy and portfolio development.
Customer Engagement: The Foundation for Growth and Customer Proximity
With the new Customer Engagement board-level responsibility, sovanta is consistently aligning its sales approach with the requirements of modern customer relationships. Sales has evolved: today, the key is to support customers holistically, to deliberately develop relationships, and to make growth predictable.
Especially in the context of internationalization, new products, and an expanded portfolio, this step establishes clear accountability at board level — and creates the foundation for scalable customer proximity and sustainable growth.

“Customer Engagement” board-level responsibility will be assumed by Akin Aritmac:
Akin Aritmac studied Business Informatics at Georg-August University Göttingen, with a focus on information management as well as innovative technologies and architectures. After joining Accenture in the field of IT Service Excellence, he advised banking and insurance clients on digital transformation initiatives — ranging from process optimization to large-scale migration projects. In 2015, he joined sovanta, where from 2018 onward he led customer relationship management, new customer acquisition, and marketing, and was responsible for key go-to-market strategies. Since February 2021, he has been a member of the management team, overseeing sales and customer engagement.
