sovanta at the DSAG Jahreskongress 2025

The DSAG Jahreskongress is one of the most important events for the SAP community every year – and naturally also for the sovanta team. With three BTP Squad buses, our experts traveled to Bremen. This year’s congress followed the motto “The Art of Balance”. The focus: how to reconcile ambitious innovation with the real needs of user companies. A perfect starting point for our BTP Squad: equipped with numerous exciting BTP use cases and services, we were able to present solutions directly at the booth and highlight next steps for a successful transformation. In this blog post, we take a look back at the highlights of three intense days at the DSAG Jahreskongress.

What were the top topics at the DSAG Jahreskongress 2025?

Clean Core, SAP BTP, SAP BDC & automation – the agenda was packed with hands-on sessions around the most exciting SAP technologies. There was something for every industry and line of business. Visitors could, for example, dive deep into finance topics such as cost center analysis or accounting. And across all sessions, one theme was omnipresent: AI.

It became clear: many companies see enormous potential in AI, but in the midst of large-scale transformations, they often struggle to define an AI strategy and identify use cases that deliver real business value. In many cases, the technical foundation to realize AI scenarios is still missing.

The three days of the DSAG Annual Congress showed: SAP BTP is the technological foundation of the “new” SAP world (and therefore also for AI). But when it comes to adoption, there’s still room for improvement …

For me, Thomas Saueressig’s words during his keynote perfectly capture the current situation our customers are facing: “The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The second-best time is now.” Many companies are taking this message to heart and are now actively getting started on SAP BTP.

The perfect way to wrap up Day 1: the sovanta booth party

It’s becoming a tradition: after the first day, we always invite everyone for a beer at the BTP special partner booth. We were delighted that so many customers and partners joined us. What stood out most: the SAP community is growing closer together – people know each other and meet again at the DSAG Annual Congress. We had the chance to discuss first impressions, exchange with long-standing customers, and also make new contacts – all in a relaxed atmosphere.

sovanta and Munich Re on stage

We were especially looking forward to the second day of the event. Once again, we had the opportunity to contribute to the DSAG agenda. Together with Sven Sigel from Munich Re, our BTP expert Philip Weissmann spoke about the Integration Suite and the right operating model for SAP BTP. For us, the reality check was particularly important: the talk not only highlighted successes but also the challenges along the way. Missed our session? Feel free to reach out – we’ll be happy to share the slides with you.

Audit-Compliant and Scalable: How Munich Re Defines the Operating Model for SAP BTP

SAP BTP is becoming increasingly important for Munich Re – particularly in terms of modernizing the “old world”, ensuring future readiness, and driving standardization. To unlock the platform’s full potential, a clear, audit-compliant operating model is essential. Together with SAP and BTP specialist sovanta, Munich Re has established a BTP Center of Excellence and developed concepts that meet all regulatory requirements while making the most of the platform’s flexibility. With numerous subsidiaries and teams working on a shared SAP BTP, complexity naturally arises. In this presentation, we outline the path taken and present the target vision of a secure, scalable, and audit-proof operating model for SAP BTP and SAP Integration Suite – always with a strong focus on compliance and audit requirements.

After DSAGJK comes DSAGTT

With 5,300 visitors and 180 exhibitors, the DSAG Jahreskongress was once again a great success. We’ve also captured our recap in a video (watch here). For us, planning is already underway for the DSAG Technologietage in Hamburg. That’s going to be a great momentum for the sovanta office in Hamburg’s HafenCity. We can’t wait to meet the SAP community there on March 17–18, 2026.
