At sovanta, we believe in learning by doing – and our latest Hackathon once again proved how powerful that approach can be. This time, our teams focused on the SAP Agent Builder to explore how AI agents can improve business processes in a real-world setting. With a clear focus on practical value and hands-on experience, three sovanta teams developed AI-powered use cases that tackle everyday challenges across different departments – and across different sovanta locations. Let’s take a closer look at the results:
Use Case 1: Agentic Sales Support
Sales teams often spend valuable time preparing for customer meetings – gathering insights, analyzing data, and creating conversation guides. An AI agent automatically collects relevant customer insights and market data, helping sales professionals focus on what matters most – the conversation.
Use Case 2: CV Generation Agent
Creating tailored CVs for project proposals or staffing processes can be time-consuming, especially when data is spread across multiple sources. An AI agent automatically generates CVs using both internal employee data and external data sources such as LinkedIn profiles – saving time and improving consistency.
Use Case 3: Travel Cost Agent
Travel planning and expense reporting are essential, but often tedious tasks – especially for employees who are frequently on the road. An AI agent supports users by automating the entire process, from travel requests to travel expense reports, and even helps with information retrieval based on internal travel policies.
Our Takeaway: SAP Agent Builder Hackathon
These use cases are more than just prototypes – they demonstrate how AI agents can unlock real value by taking over time-consuming, repetitive tasks. Everyone involved could feel the potential of this technology, and we saw some truly impressive results. That’s what we call the sovanta spirit: working across disciplines, experimenting boldly, and learning fast. Of course, there was also a winning team: the CV Generation Agent impressed the jury the most. But for us, all teams were winners in the end.
