Wolfgang BläsiVice Chairman of the sovanta AG Supervisory Board
Wolfgang Bläsi was born in Offenburg on April 25, 1968. After graduating from high school, he completed an apprenticeship in financial administration before working in the emergency medical services for several years after obtaining his technical college entrance qualification.
In 1998, after studying technical business administration at Offenburg University of Applied Sciences, Bläsi began his professional career as a trainee in the internal auditing department of the Burda publishing house. He then moves to the SAP consulting company Novasoft in mid-1999 as assistant to the management and prepares its IPO on the new market. From 2001, he is in charge of accounting and communications. Until 2007, he is also CFO of the group, which has since been taken over by the U.S. company Ciber; he was responsible for the takeover on Novasoft’s side, as well as for the subsequent squeeze-out and delisting of Novasoft from the stock exchange.
Bläsi then starts a management consultancy in the field of climate protection, but moves to the agricultural company KTG Agrar as Chief Financial Officer in April 2008. He resigned from this position on September 30, 2009.
In March 2010, Bläsi becomes Managing Director and CFO of Ekosem Agrar and of the agricultural machinery manufacturer Ekotechnika, a sister company of Ekosem; both with German holding companies and 100% operating business in Russia. There he is responsible for IFRS financial statements, corporate finance and legal restructuring. In this function, he is responsible for the issuance of four mid-market bonds with a total volume of almost EUR 300 million – as well as for multiple restructurings of these bonds in the wake of various crises in Russia.
In September 2016, he founded the consultancy wb finance and, in addition to Ekosem and Ekotechnika, advises other companies on the restructuring of SME bonds, international acquisitions and insolvency cases.
In August 2018, Ekosem brings Bläsi back: As CFO, he is to help take the Russian agricultural company with a German holding company public, a project that is ultimately not implemented. He resigned from the board at the end of 2022, but continues to advise the Ekosem Group on financing and financial statement issues.
Wolfgang Bläsi is also Chairman of the Supervisory Board of ACS Landwirtschafts AG, an agricultural company with activities in Romania, and Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Ekotechnika AG.
He devotes his free time to his family; he enjoys running, cooking, and the finer things – reading, music, and wine.
