We had the honor of being a sponsor at the SAP Platform and Data Summit &#8211; not just once, but twice: first in New York City and then again in Chicago. Both events were a great success and full of inspiring conversations. Time for a quick recap: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/sven-arndt\/\">Sven Arndt<\/a>, CTO of sovanta America, shares his insights and answers the key questions &#8211; <em>What were the driving topics? Who was on stage? And what are our takeaways?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Innovation in Action: Use Cases on Stage<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Both events showcased plenty of <strong>real-life use cases<\/strong> from customers who demonstrated how <strong>SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP)<\/strong> and <strong>Business Data Cloud (BDC)<\/strong> provide a solid foundation for innovation and faster adaptation to ever-changing business needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Across all the sessions, four clear takeaways stood out:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A great use case starts with <strong>business value<\/strong> and the people driving the process.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Even with the best tools and technologies, success depends on having <strong>the right people<\/strong> to bring it all together.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Some teams missed out on innovation opportunities by implementing only the bare minimum &#8211; just as they would have done without the latest BTP or BDC capabilities. Remember: regardless of your core system version, on BTP\/BDC you can instantly leverage the <strong>latest innovations<\/strong>!<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Finally, strong <strong>collaboration between vendors and customers<\/strong> builds trust and opens the door for bigger achievements.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">sovanta on Stage with Elanco and Endress+Hauser<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>We were proud to showcase two exciting customer stories at both summits:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>&#8220;<strong>Elanco\u2019s BTP Journey with sovanta \u2013 What was, is, and can be<\/strong>&#8220;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>&#8220;<strong>How Endress+Hauser streamlined Sales Call Prep: Less Time, Fewer Errors, More Wins with AI<\/strong>&#8220;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Both sessions were very well received and sparked great discussions with attendees. The main takeaway: a solid data foundation is crucial for AI success &#8211; and you don\u2019t necessarily need the newest systems to get started. Many customers are currently facing the challenge of transitioning from legacy systems like PI\/PO, CPI on NEO, and Data Integration to next-generation solutions such as SAP Integration Suite and SAP Datasphere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The main hurdles?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A lack of hands-on experience with the new technologies, making it hard to evaluate whether they cover all required features.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Uncertainty about how to secure the necessary budget for the transformation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The situation is similar when it comes to <strong>Clean Core<\/strong>. Many teams don\u2019t know how to communicate or even approach the topic internally.
