The year 2025 is already in full swing and promises to be an exciting year with plenty of momentum on the technology front \u2013 primarily thanks to the increased use of AI. It\u2019s becoming clear that AI can influence almost every field of work. Particularly intriguing for us is the question: How does AI support and transform work in UX Design? And what other factors, alongside AI, are bringing fresh perspectives to the field of user experience in 2025? Timo Eising<\/a>, Head of Design at sovanta, has outlined his expectations for us in the form of UX Trends 2025<\/em>:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. Integration of AI and Maschine Learning in HR<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Not surprisingly, the first point goes to AI. In 2025, AI will increasingly be used effectively for seemingly small use cases to save users time and help them complete their tasks faster. A great example that is already becoming clear involves use cases with SuccessFactors Recruiting and the use of SAP Joule in various scenarios. AI is already being deployed here<\/a>, for instance, to assist in formulating job postings. We can envision many more cases in the HR sector where AI is directly integrated into the user interface as an assistant. We are confident that this year will see a significant AI push in this area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Greater Focus on Accessibility and Inclusive Design<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The new Accessibility Strengthening Act ensures that significantly more guidelines must be met in the B2C sector. And although the law does not cover B2B applications, we will undoubtedly see similar progress in the B2B sector. Thanks to SAP Fiori, strong accessibility and user experience in SAP applications have not been major challenges for quite some time. However, the goal is to design applications in a way that truly makes them accessible to all users without barriers. This is an exciting challenge, and as a long-standing SAP AppHaus Network partner<\/a>, human-centered design is part of our DNA. We are proud to lead by example in this area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n

Accessibility in B2B Applications<\/h3>\n

Sometimes, a small change can have a big impact \u2013 often without us realizing it beforehand. Take, for example, the automatic door openers that were increasingly installed during the COVID-19 \u2026<\/p>\n

3. Increased Use of Voice User Interfaces (VUI)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

ChatGPT and similar technologies are gradually changing the way users interact with systems. This shift will also be felt in B2B applications. Seamless communication and voice control \u2013 even in business apps \u2013 are in demand. As a result, the term \u201cVoice User Interface\u201d (VUI) is becoming a trending topic. Years ago, we predicted: \u201cNext UI is no UI.\u201d It took longer than expected, but now voice control for apps is gaining significant momentum. This, of course, also plays strongly into the aforementioned topic of \u201caccessibility\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4. AI as Booster for the UX Design Process<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

AI tools offer entirely new ways to support and significantly accelerate the UX Design process. Especially with well-developed design systems<\/a> like SAP Fiori, we will see more and more new possibilities emerging this year. AI is also increasingly being used in the area of UX research repositories: Central databases that collect research results or best practices can be utilized and expanded by more teams, making insights more easily accessible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

5. Prototyping, Testing & Low-Code<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

SAP Joule will make the low-code tools from SAP Build<\/a> even more accessible and significantly accelerate the creation of mini-apps or prototypes. Additionally, Joule can greatly support the automation and improvement of workflows. On the other hand, design tools are increasingly offering better prototyping capabilities. Even with these tools, the use of low-code\/no-code is making the UX Design process faster. As a result, UX Designers will have more time to test prototypes more frequently and analyze these tests with AI tools to derive follow-up decisions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
