sovanta presents future technology at the University of Mannheim

What chatbots, spam mails and FAQ pages have in common: Our Data Scientists explain Natural Language Processing to students.

Nov 19, 2019

Topics from the field of user experience are not only interesting for companies, but also for students. Data Scientists Larissa Haas and Tommi Kramer from sovanta proved this with their lecture at the University of Mannheim. Only recently they showed that Natural Language Processing (NLP) will play a major role in the student’s future.

Today's products are part of tomorrow's user experience

NLP are essentially services that use language and text to interact between people and systems. They offer various possibilities to make processes more cost-efficient and to increase customer satisfaction. But that's not all: sovanta focuses on the user with NLP.

"People don't necessarily have to understand machines anymore; we teach machines to understand people."

Chatbots from sovanta, for example, work based on NLP. The sorting of bulk emails can also be automated with this method. It is also possible to make FAQ pages clearer. All this is just the beginning - and sovanta helps to shape it.

Joint work with STADS

Students at the University of Mannheim have first-hand experience of how NLP works and which horizons it expands. Together with the Data Science Initiative "STADS" sovanta organized the lecture. Because it is important to us to inspire young people with topics that can change the future.
