HR “one-stop-shop”: Unified user experience for employees, managers, and HR business partners

Initial situation

  • Different front-end technologies are used in conjunction with SAP HCM and SuccessFactors => heterogeneous mapping of HR-related information and self-service processes
  • The CI/CD is displayed inconsistently across all countries => this makes it more difficult for employees to identify with the brand

Objectives

  • Develop a global, central solution (“one-stop-shop”) to standardize and simplify access to data elements relevant to HR
    – Create a standardized user interface based on SAP HCM and SAP SuccessFactors

Project methodology

  • Ideation: Identify role-specific requirements (= employee, manager, and HR business partner) for digital process mapping. Consider international structures and cultural differences
  • Design: Develop the user interface while ensuring integration in SAP HCM and SuccessFactors
  • Realization: Targeted expansion of existing system standards in the front end based on SAPUI5 / automated integration of training data, academic education, and internal/external work experience, among other things, from back-end systems
  • Operation: Maintain and add new features successively
